Colin

I had an unexpected day off today so I had time to edit some of the photos from a mini session I had yesterday with nearly 3 year old Colin.
It's tough to get a 3 year old to smile for the camera so well done Colin!

Twice the Fun

These little twins were 11 weeks and totally adorable. Zoe was a doll and eventually fell asleep and basked in the sunlight. Isn't she sweet!?
Big brother Maddox was a little ham and always had the cutest little smirk on his face.
Twins are always a challenge and I really appreciated the practice. Thanks Natalie!

Baby Ahsoka

This little dumpling was so great during her session. She was a little sleepy head and I LOVED it. Even when I would move her she would just squeak a little and doze back off.  She was so laid back and the perfect little model.

Serious Simon

This little guy was very serious during our session. He was 9 days old and so teeny. I love his little squeaks and tiny noises.
He wasn't very sleepy for us but I didn't mind so much since he had those gorgeous steel blue eyes.
I'm sure he went right out as soon as he left though - being a model is hard work :)

Sweet Sophie

It's been a while since I've blogged and quite frankly it's been a while since I've felt like taking pictures. The crazy busy life of a mom of two had really put my photography dreams on hold. A few weeks ago I decided I needed to get back into because I really missed it. My first step was getting a new camera and a new portrait lens. I had been wanting a new camera for about 3 years so I was ecstatic when I splurged and got my dream camera. I got  Canon 5D Mark II and a 50mm f/1.2 lens. Love love love. So the past couple of weeks I have been harassing my friends to let me practice on their cute kids. So I started out with little Sophie here. She's 8 months and totally adorable.
She was a great little model and she helped me figure out my lighting setup in my living room. I still have lots of things to learn but I love the look of natural light and if given the choice I would use it over artificial lighting anytime.
Love her little face.
Such a sweetheart.
I've had a couple more session since then and hope to blog them soon. I've had two squishy newborns the past two days and I can't wait to share their cuteness!
